Welcome to another discussion round! It is a pretty straightforward game where I give you a question that you'll answer in a new comment for two random cards. Since this is a discussion, don't be shy! Feel free to comment on other player's threads too~

I'm still fairly new to Pairings myself, and this is my first game post ever, so in keeping with the theme, this round's discussion is...

"What is your newest OTP and why do you ship them together? It doesn't necessarily need to be from a new canon, but just a new ship that you recently got into!"
(Example: I recently started watching Hataraku Maou-sama! and while I'm mostly in it for the humor, I'm really enjoying "Maou" and "Ashiya"'s dynamics and how they've gone from fearsome Dark Lord and his loyal right hand to... a ridiculous married couple. :'D)

I haven't seen or read much new, but I've been really nostalgic towards Legend of Zelda recently. Maybe because I've been playing Skyward Sword. So, a rekindling of my Link/Zelda OTP.

Probably Alcor/Hibiki from Devil Survivor 2. I recently watched the anime and while I didn't enjoy it, I loved what little we got to see of their interactions.

Also I really didn't want to, especially considering the nature of the canon, but I've begun to ship in Attack on Titan. Especially Eren/Armin and Jean/Marco. Why this, me, I thought we were trying to prevent further pain.

I have been rereading Rec and honestly, I think Matsumaru/Aka are the cutest thing, if only because they keep messing up when they're trying to get it on.

ALSO. Even though their relationship is a secret a lot of people know about it and I'm shameless but if you're into slice-of-life and are okay with a little NSFW (Basically, if you've read/watched B Gata H Kei, I'd reccomend this!) THEN READ IT....

My newest ship is a ship of shame and tears, Revy & Rock from Black Lagoon. And I honestly can't figure it out WHY NOW when I watched Black Lagoon AGES ago for the first time, so why did I start shipping them this hard now WHY am I rewatching for the third time WHY am I invested.

This is not a real answer but I don't understand it myself. I guess it's their chemistry that I like????? probably?????? I don't know how can you even tell they're just great okay /o\ /hides in shame.

I haven't really picked up anything new lately so most of my ships are nostalgia ships, but I did pick up Dangan Ronpa a few weeks ago and came out of it shipping Sakura/Aoi pretty hard. THEY'RE JUST CUTE. . . I don't really have any reasons beyond that, sob.

I've been reading a ton of Shoujo manga lately so I just got into Shota and Sadako from Kimi Ni Todoke~<3

Chihaya and Taichi from Chihayafuru. It's also a new canon but I ended up watching all of it in less than a week and I was just completely smitten with the two. I also think Chihaya and Shinobu is great too. And Arata and Shinobu. And- /cries on the floor

*goes into folder of recently watched/current season anime* Hmmm I'd say Tonari is the anime I've watched enough of recently to legitimately reach OTP status.. but Shizuku/Haru for me! Haru's just SUCH AN IDIOT but so sincere and Shizuku's honesty as well.. I love the dynamics of their relationship! And the "seriously, you're attracted to HIM?" moments are just awesome as well.

I just started playing the ace attorney games and I'm really into phoenix/miles lmao I feel like I'm the last person to make it to the ace attorney party because it's such an old fandom. I really like them because they've got that whole childhood friend/rival thing going on :3

Roleplay can totally do that. I have ships that I never even looked at while watching/reading something and then suddenly roleplay happened and I was all over the pairing.

Let's go with Rikka/Yuuta from Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! I haven't watched many episodes yet but I spoilered myself and I think they are really cute together when Yuuta is not hitting Rikka pff, not to mention the character design is so adorable that I couldn't help falling in love with them. ///

OMG I WATCHED THIS WHOLE THING IN A WEEK RIGHT BEFORE THE PREVIOUS DECK RELEASE (lmao now you know why I made those decks) and first I was unsure because I thought it was going to be harem anime, but Yuuta and Rikka were just ridiculously adorable ;______________;

I didn't get to watch, read or play anything in last 3 weeks so it would be probably ships from Fire Emblem: Awakening, which is the last game I have played. Since relationships play a big role in the game, I have quite a few ships; Gaius/Tharja, Lon'qu/Tharja, Genome/Noire, Virion/Panne, Gregor/Cherche, Virion/Cherche... and I am someone who doesn't ship much usually, orz.

I played it a few weeks ago, but since I've been too busy to watch or play much since then... Mao/Almaz from Disgaea 3. Almaz trying to understand and "help" Mao, and Mao's constant attempts to act like he doesn't care (when he does... in a way) are just amusing.

I never even played Disgaea 3 myself, but I played with a great duo of rpers for them and their chemistry was really something, haha.

I have a good few ships, but I haven't had any new ones since my Ace Attorney spree earlier this year. So I guess my newest OTP would be Phoenix Wright/Miles Edgeworth, which I knew was popular in the fandom so I went in actively trying not to ship it.

As you can tell, I failed, and I now have the new phrase 'what the shiptease', thanks to Capcom.

HMM my newest/latest OTP is the mildly one-sided rivalship between Yukihira Souma and Takumi Aldini. Takumi wants SO HARD to be a serious rival for Souma but Souma is just so focused on getting to his dad's level that he... doesn't notice...

Also he's kind of dumb anyway.

Tahno/Bolin from Legend of Korra. Last weekend, two of my friends cosplayed as them at a convention and geez it was the cutest thing.

It's okay, in a canon when everyone is in constant danger of getting eaten, it's best to have backup ships in case of fatalities.

It's not really a new series, but I started to watch Armored Fleet Dairugger XV for the first time in years. My current OTP from Dairugger is Kaga Haruka & Patty Ellington.

OH MAN, um. Probably any combination of Eren/Mikasa/Armin, really? I love OT3s and AoT is just so tragic there needs to be love somewhere. I also recently started Fate/Zero, but I can tell there'll be a ton of shipping in that. Saber/Lancer is tempting, AND THEY'RE DEFINITELY A BROTP I'M NOT SURE ABOUT OTP YET... but Waver/Rider is literally FANTASTIC in EVERY SINGLE WAY.

I am really, really into Yuna/Tidus from Final Fantasy 10 right now -- I don't usually ship video game characters, and I am so awful at actually finishing Final Fantasy games, so doing both in one sitting is really rare! I love their relationship, and how they're constantly trying to better themselves and how it's sad and tragic that even though they would love to spend the rest of their days ignoring society, they both know it can never happen...
