It was probably Sanosuke/Magumi or Sanosuke/Otae from Rurouni Kenshin. Well he was my super bias, so I just naturally paired him with some people and those were the ones who were giving me some kind of vibe (yes, even as a kid it was hard for me to ship XD). Those pairings never amounted to anything, but it was still fun~

My second first pairing... is not worth talking about here XD

Omg... this dates like over 10 years back. Let's see. Possibly the first anime I watched was Sailor Moon, so it would have to be Mamoru/Usagi. But back then, I didn't really care for the whole romance thing (I think? D=) so I didn't ship that much, but I remember for sure that I didn't like Rei/Mamoru pairing. :P

very first ship was Goku/Bulma, followed years later by Mamoru/Usagi, and years later, when I was 12 or so I discovered what slash was and shipped Trunks/Gohan heh

The first pairing I ever shipped was Roy/Riza from Fullmetal Alchemist. That was the first series that I fell absolutely in love with (and is my all time favourite) and I always loved those two together, and I was secretly hoping by the end of the series/manga that they would be together.

Ahem, I guess it's a tie between Mamoru/Usagi and Haruka/Michiru back when I watched Sailor Moon as a kid, I didn't think much of the fact that they were two women, they were just SO IN LOOOOVE!!

Once I started watching anime and playing video games as a serious hobby a couple of years ago, my first pairings were Touya/Shindou and Riku/Sora. Oh man, feelings galore.

Ummmmm I'm trying to think. Animanga-wise, Roy/Riza from Fullmetal Alchemist was the first ship I truly rooted for from start to finish, the first ship that I absolutely, positively fell in love with to the point of obsessing over almost every moment these two share in the series. It's the earliest pairing I ever remember fangirling over.
