Welcome to the first discussion round! It is a pretty straightforward game where I give you a question that you'll answer in a new comment for two random cards. Since this is a discussion, don't be shy! Feel free to comment on other player's threads too~

This round's question is...
"What types of pairings are you usually attracted to?"
(For example, do you like the comedic duo, the duo who hate each other, sibling pairs, etc)

You've got until April 15th to comment!

I like comedic duos more these days, mostly because I enjoy reading/watching animanga with comedy in them, plus these kind of couples are so much fun. I also really like the classic 'destined-to-be-together' kind of couples, probably because it's more fairy tail like and it makes me feel like a kid.

And then lastly there's the impossible pair. Like you know they wouldn't end up together in the series as a romantic couple but still want them to, I suppose that's when fanons start, right? XD

I have three types:
Rivals - they're not exactly enemies but they don't get along very well, and thus they become each other's rivals, like Naruto and Sasuke, Mello and Near, Zoro and Sanji, and Masamune and Yukimura
Friends- especially Best Friends. They already have that chemistry there so they only need a little push and it's beautiful and it gives me all the feelings in the world, like Terra and Aqua, or Ventus and Aqua, or Ventus and Terra, Roxas and Axel, Sora and Riku, Riku and Kairi, Lea and Isa and why is this all kingdom hearts Zack and Cloud, and Kiba and Hinata
and enemies - not the kind that turn good after a while, no, the ones that seriously hate each other, but somehow work, like any exorcist and noah combo from D.Gray-Man
also I tend to ship m/m pairings most of the time, but I like f/f and het pairings all the same, following the same pattern.
And as a bonus I tend to like pairings with characters that have different coloured hair, one of the few exceptions that I love in which both characters have the same hair colour is Yamamoto/Hibari from Reborn! and Keiji/Sasuke from Basara

I definitely have a thing for the love-hate pairs, pairs that hate each other at first but eventually warm up to each other, or pairs on the opposite ends of the alignment chart, haha~ Whether they're friendly rivals or bitter enemies, I find that conflicting pairs have a lot of possibility for lots of passion & energy! Or maybe I'm just drawing that from fanfics ehehe...

And then there's the pairs I like just for the sake of utter cuteness of their canon interactions like Kou/Nino from Arakawa Under the Bridge or Austria/Hungary from Hetalia. ovo

I have a thing for love-hate too. I like it when a pair is so convinced that they hate each other, but their mutual hatred and honesty towards the other's faults make them work well together.

I also like shippping people who have this old married couple thing going on. Or people who end up being team mom and dad.

And then there are crack pairs...

My favorite types of couples are ones that are snarky~ Arguing can be fun, sometimes, and it usually makes for a good relationship, since you can be honest. The bold person who helps the shy/scared person come out of their shell is nice too. c:

sdjsakdjsalkdjaskldj I honestly can not pick a specific type of pairing that I like! I actually love all types, as I think they all have their own quirks that makes them enjoyable. So picking is really hard for me ;__;

This is a tough question but I think as long as a canon couple look good together, I'm bound to start shipping them eventually. I agree on the 'destined-to-be-together' couples too, especially when they start fighting and have misunderstandings in the beginning and try to work them out, I have such a weakness for them.

this is difficult, ohman.

i usually go for the "opposites attract" pairing. i love it more if they argue/bicker/snark at each other a lot like a married couple. it's better if one likes to tease the other and the other's just completely tsun. they what i usually go for in a lot of anime/manga.

i also have a fondness for pairings where the characters use/try to manipulate each other. power play ahaha, with more passive-aggression! it's my guilty pleasure sshh

though i do have pairings where like -- i only chose them to be together because of that one moment in canon where they had chemistry, no matter how small or insignificant that moment is. or if they have some kind of a childhood background (and they end up just being childhood friends forever =A=). of course, i usually expect pairings like that to sink quicker than the titanic.

Mostly pairings where the characters support each other a lot. I like pairings that make me think that both characters really are good for each other, willing to protect each other or make each other grow or something like that. It's always nice to see how they develop and how the relationship grows, and while there's some conflict to it, in the end they work it out and grow as individuals at the same time as a pair.

Otherwise, anything cute admittedly. I prefer cute, fluffy types a lot.

I usually gravitate towards pairings where one of the part seems reluctant but they're just not honest, haha. If they eventually become a sort of inseparable pair, even if one of them is still tsundere about it, I love it even more!
I'm really open about pairings, though, if they have good chemistry and generally work together I'm open to like them! I like rivals, comedic duos, married couples and such if they have a good relationship. Even love/hate sometimes convince me pretty well, too!

Haha the pairs I am usually attracted to are the rival duos. I just love them, they already got bickering like old married couple down, they just need an official shove towards each other and bam we have a hot pair.

I can't really say a specific type I'm attracted to pairing-wise but as shallow as it sounds I usually like to ship my favorite characters together. Most of those are fanon and rarely canon lol, and it usually doesn't matter whether its het, slash or femslash. I also mulitiship(or have a fandom bicycle)...I.e I ship Aerith from Final Fantasy VII with a lot of people like Reno, Vincent, Tifa, Rufus, Leon/Squall, Sephiroth, Axel etc XD. As long as I like it, I ship it lol.

I usually like the pretty canon pairings. xD Usually they are "made for each other" or "opposite."
I always enjoy those relationships where the girl is all RAWR and the guy is funny and a pushover. xDD idk why ~ Hm,rival pairs are interesting too-but that's all I usually see them as-rivals. ),:
I love it when my favorite pairing end up together < 3

Oh wow, this is actually quite difficult, because I just realized that I don't actually have a usual pattern. Sometimes I like canon, sometimes I don't. When I decided to ship a pairing, well, I just ship it. I don't do those 'recognize all the pairings then pick one you like the most' thing. If I see them at the right time and get the...er...enlightenment, I will ship them right away XD

But lately, I've been extremely attracted to bromance-type in all fandoms, though...

Hmmm I had never thought about this before XD, but I guess I really like friendship pairs, based on mutual understanding and genuine care for each other. I also like the honorable rivals pair, where they have a relationship based on chivalry, equality and being fair with each other. I don't see this type of pairings from a romantic point of view though, to me it's enough just to think of them as friends :3

Romantically, I pretty much just accept whatever it's canon. As long as they have good chemistry, I'm good to go XD but I love it when there is some age difference (5 to 10 years), usually involving office romance or other work related stuff. What can I say? I'm a sucker for oyajis I blame josei manga for this one XD

I enjoy sibling pairs quite a bit. It doesn't have to be romantic or anything of the sort, but at the same time, I can't really help but enjoy that sort of dynamic.

I ALSO LIKE VERY NATURAL PAIRS. I don't know how else to explain it, but ones that are quite comfortable with each other. They don't run around acting super romantic or dramatic or so, but you can tell they click really well.

And rivalships are always a plus. '-'b I dunno, it's kinda hard to pinpoint just what I like in a pair BUT THAT IS A FEW EXAMPLES OF THEM.

Hrm, most probably the main antagonist/protagonist. Those are always the juiciest XD

The couples I never seem to like are canon friends and/or couples. Just don't really feel the love for it. I did try to like couples like Sasuke/Sakura or Naruto/Sakura but it just doesn't seem to happen...

Hmm... I don't know really... I tend to find I ship alot of the canon couple or just the two characters who interact with each other alot... I don't really... get the hate/love type of pairing ;w;... I usually like it when couples get along well with each other already. Since Crazi's comment is the top one though and I keep staring at her icon while I type xD, the Nodame/Chiaki kind of couple is probably the most conflict I like seeing in a couple i.e. the bickering comedy kind of thing but you know that they care for one another? So basically I usually like couples that are diabetes inducing??

I mostly like people with a lot of tension between them that becomes friendship or romance eventually. I also like long-time friends turned romance too, but I mostly never like tsundere love or when they are in extreme denial. It just kills the relationship for me when it drags on out of characters being hard-heads!

Comedy love is awesome!

I'm never totally sure what I like in a pairing, honestly. I mean, I have to look at each of them differently, right?

I suppose if I had to say I like a specific "type", I do tend to go with the pairings that bicker a lot with each other. I mean, they do it because they care, right? I like to think that some of those pairings really don't have other ways to communicate how they really care for each other. In the end, I'll just ship it if I think that the two people will care for each other. So I'm sort of easy I guess lmao.

These days I seem to have more yaoi/shounen ai pairings. I don't really have any serious yuri pairings though but if its two best friends together (Haine/Ushio) I wouldn't mind.

I kinda have a thing for childhood friend pairings like Ryuu/Chizuru, Watanuki/Karuta, Chihaya/Arata, Hiro/Kisa. Mostly since the flashback chapters/episodes are cute. My only sibling pairing is Rin/Len because of all those sad Vocaloid songs with Len dying. And twincest is beautiful~ I also like love-hate relationships cuz they're cute with all the denial it just makes the lovey dovey things more precious. I kind of have a thing for relationships that are canon but will never happen due to circumstances. The best example of this would be Otonashi/Kanade from Angel Beats. Basically sad pairings.

Reborn's pretty much my shipping fandom especially since the latest chapters have been so fanservicey. Plus how can you not pair bishies with more bishies. And Tsuna will always be the universal uke.

I'm not really that selective when it comes to pairings as long as they're darling guys hahaha. I love all my precious yaois, even if they're totally not realistic most of the time, since they remind me of myself lasdghd;skf. So I guess if it's something I can empathize with better, I'll like the pairing more. But really, as long as they're pretty guys I could care less LMFLSDGKAHDF. I AM OBVIOUSLY NOT A SERIOUS SHIPPER. Sweet couples are always the best... funny, sweet, and maybe awkward. Oh yes, that includes things like Kazehaya and Kuronuma. I like canon pairings.

I've found I'm most attracted to either the rivals or opposites, like Gojyo/Hakkai or Daisuke/Ken, though I'm not really that picky. I also love couples that love each other without being lovey-dovey every four seconds (it's not anime, but the only couple I can think of right this second that fits this is Peter/Elizabeth from White Collar and Midnighter/Apollo from the comic series The Authority). ...Basically, if the characters have really good chemistry, I'm sure I'll eventually ship it.

I don't really have a type of pairing that I love the most. I mean I typically go for the pairs that are always there for each other and truly care for each other. My current main ship is one where the two guys are always bickering, but not in a mean spirit; instead it's a form of bickering where they demonstrate how important they are to each other and how unbreakable their bond is.
