i'm a sucker for romantic subtext, or just plain romance! oddly enough, i'm not much of a fan of pure shoujo stuff most of the time; i prefer having the romance simply be part of the story rather than have it be the main focus. a good example of it is in uzumaki, where shuichi and kirie's relationship is important, but it doesn't overwhelm the plot!
