Off the top of my head, I can't think of one but I'm sure with a bit of time, I could. I tend to listen to my portable music player a lot lately, so I'm sure sometimes it'd be interesting to see what songs I might find to go well with a pairing or two.

sometimes a song comes on the radio that reminds me of one, but then i'm pretty quick to forget about it hahah. off the top of my head, i can't really think of anything, but i'm in the same boat as you, hahah. unless it happens naturally, i'd be spending all night thinking about it ...

Not a particular pairing no, but I have some songs that when I hear them, I can think of a scenario for whatever is my favorite pairing at that time.

LOL Yep. I can think of verses with people, but not full songs as well. It's hard to associate songs with ships.

Honestly? I pretty much can't ship a pairing if I don't have some music associated with it. Whether I think it's a love letter type thing (ex character A discussing character B), a general song that captures the "mood" of their relationship, or even a song that I can't exactly describe why it hits on the ship for me -- for every single one of my ships, I have at least one song. Weird, huh?

For example, this has always been a song I've strongly associated with the ship Akise/Yukki from Mirai Nikki. And this has always struck me as being pretty Okabe/Mayuri (from Steins;Gate) like... Okay, my music taste is pretty embarrassing, so I'll stop now. I'm sure you guys get the idea, anyway!

I never really associate music with a paring, but if I see an amv about a pairing and watch that multiple times. Then I start the think about the pairing when I hear the song on the radio. I don’t have a song that pops in my mind when I was reading the question, trying to think of something now, but then only normal AMV who left an impression on me pop up in my mind. Maybe I say that this I can't stay away from The Veronicas AMV, because it is used in a crossover AMV. And I didn’t really like crossovers until I saw that AMV. Now whenever I hear the song I think about Sebastian and Gilbert

AMVs are amazing to help with music association. I don't know why I stopped listening to them |D

The only one I can think of is for a comic pairing (Daken and Bullseye), and it's called "I Hate Everything About You" by 3 Days Grace. I don't tend to associate songs with pairings, but someone mentioned it to me first and it stuck.

I once listened to FST for the pairing Aria/Gamma from REBORN! that I really liked and pretty much all of the songs on that fan soundtrack remind me of them. Particularly this one from Pearl Jam and When I Look To The Sky by Train.

Oh, I think I do have some! There's a song 'Short Hair' by Base Ball Bear that always makes me think of Ken/Yumin from Sun-ken Rock, and 'Borderland', Jormungand's opening, reminds me of Rock/Revy from Black Lagoon for some reason. It doesn't have anything to do with the lyrics because I don't understand them, but with the fact that I was listening to those songs A LOT while reading those manga XD.

there's one song, falling by keri noble, that made totally think of kizuna and yusei from birdcage manor though admittedly i heard the song first from a fst. and now every time i would hear that song my mind would go to them.

it's more of the lyrics for me, i guess, rather than anything else that make me associate a song with a pairing. plus i think more of -- a situation for ships rather than uhhh how the song fits a pairing? does that make sense?

Lyrics associating with characters/ships is what I look for when I start trying to connect them. :)

I agree with Sele on how I associate songs more with shippy situations than the ships themselves. Given how most of my ships have a lot of tsunning and issues going on... Unsafe Safe by The Hush Sound is usually my music of choice, followed by Momentum from the same artist.

That's my PG song and I'm sticking to it.

Hrm... I can't think of any specifics that match perfectly. Usually I'll hear a song on the radio and think it reminds me of a certain pair (usually from whatever I've been obsessing over lately), but the lyrics never fit exactly right. Occasionally I'll get songs that remind me of pairs of my own characters from the many, many original stories I'm writing.

And I'm actually kind of glad there isn't an Umineko Chiru anime; otherwise I'd be torturing the internet with bad Battler/Beatrice AMVs to all the (many) depressing love songs I hear on the radio.

oh gosh, I make fanmixes so I suffer from the "can apply every single song ever created to every single ship" disease that plagues many of us. Most of the time it's the lyrics but sometimes just the general mood can make me think of a pairing or make me want to try and fit them into the song, haha.

~~Right now it's especially bad for Tony Stark in general I have a whole playlist of songs I relate to him/his ships which keeps on growing /sob~~

That last bit sounds like my best friend, only replace Tony Stark with Loki XD

Oh gosh, only all the time! I think mainly because I did a lot of LJ/DW RP over the years, and that tends to get me into "associate everything with my characters" mode. Lately I've been doing a lot of Avengers RP with my best friend (I play Thor to her Loki) so I'll hear songs on the radio and associate them with the threads we do. And then she'll tell me about the songs that she's associating with them and it all ends up going in a giant playlist I listen to while writing!

Not exactly pairing related, but one weird song association that I have is between the songs from K-On! and Yukiko Amagi from P4. When I RP'd Yukiko in the past, those were the songs I most listened to for her. Maybe in a small way I group!ship Yukiko with Houkago Tea Time?? XD;

RP is definitely a gateway to associating songs with ships! :D

I'm probably going to be brutally iviserated for this...but "Beautiful World" for Asuka/Shinji from Evangelion. To me it almost feels like Asuka could be singing the song to or about Shiji. But that's just my fandom/shipper senses kicking in hahaha

You know For Your Entertainment by Adam Lambert? yeah it reminds me so much of Tyki/Lavi from D.Gray-Man that every single time I hear it I think of them and sit here and cry because it's so fucking beautiful and because one day I was reading the lyrics to this song while looking at fanarts of Tyki and went "oh crap he would totally sing this to Lavi" and then downfall

then there's Inside of You by Hoobastank that I associate with every pairing, ever. I get pairing feelings and then BAM! playing this. Specially silly people pairings like Yamamoto/Hibari from KHR!, or Zack/Aqua from KH:BbS, or Franky/Robin from One Piece because holy shit I can actually imagine Franky singing this at Robin while she's trying to read a book and i died laughing just now.

And then for some reason I associate My Chemical Romance with Naruto/Sasuke so much? lmfao it makes no sense but i can see them so much in I Don't Love You and in Bulletproof Heart and I don't even remember how I got there lmao but I think the first song from them I ever associated with the pairing was This Is Not a Fashion Statement, It's a Deathwish because for some reason i thought it fitted them well, and then there's The Ghost of You because FEELS. The song itself gives me feels and then BAM! pairing suffering.

But to end on a happier note, there's I Don't Dance from High School Musical 2 and it reminds me of Takao and Midorima from Kuroko no basket pffft
