Happy Holidays Pairings Players!

Let us settle down with a nice blanket, a cup of hot chocolate or tea, and gather around the fireplace. Now that we're warm, I felt that I should tell you that I plan to spend my holidays waiting for two of my best friends to come home and just after Christmas I will be taking my own mini-vacation and going away for a few days. But do not fret, I will not be gone long. How about you pairings players? What are your plans for the holidays?

I will be going on vacation on the 21th of December, so if the world doesn’t end then I will be back the 28th of December. I will celebrate Christmas on the 22nd and 23rd of December with the family of my boyfriend. On the actual Christmas days we don’t do much just hang out in the vacation house, we will head out the eat at a restaurant and the other day we go gourmetten. Gourmetten is an activity where a group of people at the table cook their own dish in small pans, using different ingredients on the table, if that is eaten, and you can cook something new. It is kind of a Dutch habit to gourmetten with Christmas.

Anyway, me and my boyfriend will spend Christmass on the 29th and 30th of December at my parents plays. What we are going to do more is kind of a secret, so I just have to wait and see.

At the end of the year and beginning of the new year a lot of friend will visit us, we are going to play a game where present are on the table and you throw a dice, each number on the dice contains an assignment. The gifts are all packed so you don’t know what is inside them. There are 3 rounds each with different assignments, in the last round you can open the gifts. We always end up in a fight with the most wanted gifts. Assignments can be that you have to change seats or steal a gift from someone else. It is a lot of fun.

I remember you mentioned that you were Dutch. I have never heard of Gourmetten, but it sounds really cool actually. Maybe I will steal that idea when me and my friends decide to celebrate. I played a similar gift game but at a bridal shower. I hope you have lots of fun with your friends and boyfriend's family.

You should it is heaps of fun! You can sit for hours at the table and still eat, because of the small portions you make it is hard to get full. Well we mostly make some side dishes too like bread, fruits or raw vegetables. <3
