"What are your favorite things about Christmas/the Holidays?"
(Example: I love being off of school and sleeping in! I don't normally celebrate with extended family, but my parents and I have a big Christmas tree and we enjoy eating lots and lots of food from the 24th through the new year.)

I'm not religious at all, honestly— so what I like the most about the holidays is the general good feelings from it, I guess? I'm out of school now so that has become a total moot point... but I like looking at holiday lights and things like that :).

It used to be that I only returned to my hometown twice a year: once sometime in the summer, and once for Christmas. So 'seeing my family' was a big one. I also love the lights and decorations, and the traditional foods (including leftovers for days!).

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year! I love all of the decorations, the campy music and movies that everybody else gets sick of, the presents and the feeling of generosity that comes from giving them, the trees and santa suits and stars and snowflakes everywhere.

Of course, I also love the decorations, and spending time with my family, and giving gifts! But to me, Christmas is an important food holiday, because the times that my family really comes together and shares things with each other is when we're eating dinner together.

unsurprisingly, presents!! i love getting presents especially when it's just cash in an card LMFAO I HATE GIFT CARDS. I JUST WANT MONEY THAT CAN BE USED ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE!!

AND YEAH.... though i also love that in the past, my family used to have the tradition of having a party at our house because we have a pool and in this part of the hemisphere, it's hot as balls during christmas. so it's always fun to spend time with my extended family with a bbq and a swim.

but. presents are still superior even though, you know, family time is nice and all.... i guess.... money tho

Food and presents, honestly. Two of the best things about Christmas. Of course, spending time with family is another good thing as well, especially since I don't usually see my uncle and cousins quite often. We do the actual celebrating on Christmas Eve (which is today!), in which we wait until midnight to open presents. The rest of Christmas is spent like any other mundane day.

One of my favorite things would actually be seeing all of the penguin related merchandise and plushies for sale at stores around this time of year. Penguins are one of my favorite animals, and I love seeing all of the cute plushies which look like penguins and other items involving them.

Another thing would be snow! I'm not a big fan of the cold weather, but I do love snow even if I don't go out in it very much it's nice to look at. That and all of the Christmas lights and decorations people put up around this time of the year, it's always interesting to see what kind of lights and decorations will end up being popular every year.

FOOD IS ALSO A BIG THING. I LOVE FOOD.

I like Christmas lights! Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the holidays (they're so stressful XD), but the lights are always the best part~ Food is pretty good too, hehe.

FIREWORKS AND BONFIRES. I know it's not a typical Christmas for most people but it's a long family tradition for mine. We eat dinner, then light a bonfire and set off fireworks until the late hours of the night. It's the thing I look forward to the most every Christmas!

Ummmmm... I don't really have any at all uu In truth, I really detest christmas. A lot of bad things happened to me around and on christmas, I just really really do not like it, or having it come up.

I guess I like that I can eat a lot of fried chicken!

when I was a kid, I loved christmas for the feelings of family love and, of course, presents XD

and as I grew older, the presents grew lesser, so I devoted my christmas (and every other public holiday) into work (to get double pay wahahahahaha!)

now, it's just... another day >_< with the christmas spirit~

I am not really a big fan of Christmas but to be fair, I only look forward to it to get some money. I usually get money and it's up to me whether I want to save or buy myself presents. It's not really what Christmas is about but I like buying myself things by myself, so I don't get things I don't need.

I love the fact that I can sleep in the morning till late (still waking up early), the fact I can be at home, do stuff I don't have time to do normally. I have time to play my ps3 and actually do some progress at the games lol

I think my favorite things are the cookies and the general feelings of goodwill that happen on Christmas-- there's this relief from the general stress of running around trying to make sure everything is ready for Christmas, because it's already Christmas, at least in my family, so it tends to be very low-key and relaxed. ♥ And happy holidays to everyone!

honestly, i like the food most. christmas is prime "shovel delicious food into your mouth" season, and i like being able to eat all the tasty cakes and pies and so on. i am a shameless foodie.

My favorite thing is just that our Christmas celebrations are super low key! It's just me and my parents since we live really far from the rest of our family, but I like that. We just hang around in our pajamas all day, have waffles for breakfast, then ham for dinner as is tradition. And we all play with our new toys, haha :)

I usually have some free time to finish anime series around Christmas time because I go back to my parents' house for the holidays and I lazy around a lot. I notice this year that I seriously finish one I usually start around the beginning or middle of the year and then I finish it in Christmas... I've done it the last 3 years, so I guess it's becoming more a tradition now haha.

Besides that I really love being able to eat food that was not made by myself XD

I think I love the spirit of it. I see a lot more acts of kindness during this time of year than any other time. I remember last year, we got this huge snow storm and nobody was prepared for it, because it was such a mild winter, and this group of guys went around and helped shovel under the tires of cars that were stuck in this parking lot that I was in. It was very sweet, and this year we had a nasty ice storm, and a lot of trees were damaged. These neighbours banded together and started to clear off the branches from the streets (since city crews are really overloaded they said it would still be a few days before they cleared branches).

Not just those kind of acts but when people drop extra money into the salvation army baskets, or give money to someone on the streets so they can keep warm. It's just a nice time of year.

The presents!!! although it's been like 10 years since I received a really good one skjdhfjksd, I still love getting presents... oh and buying new clothes. Food wise, my favorite food are hallacas, a traditional Christmas plate from my country. I really like the ones my mom makes, they're delicious haha.

my favorite thing about christmas is probably the same as my favorite thing about thanksgiving: the food. i totally missed out on the feast my grandma made this year and that is a total, complete bummer :( I LOVE FOOD SO MUCH I'M SORRY LMASLFAOS cries into hands
