Discussion 59

Welcome to another discussion round! It is a pretty straightforward game where I give you a question that you'll answer in a new comment, and I'll give you two random cards for answering. Since this is a discussion, don't be shy! Feel free to comment on other player's threads too~

"Is there a particular series that helps you take a break from the world (as in, after a long day at work/school, or feeling ill or just stressed out)? If so, which series and why this one? If not, what do you do to help unwind after a long day (or feeling sick, or stressed)? "
(Example: Gintama always is my go to when I'm feeling down or sick. It's ridiculousness keeps my mind occupied and keeps me laughing so I tend to watch that series when the day was bad and I have time)

Have fun everybody! This round ends on December 11th 2014. CLOSED

.....I hope saying YuGiOh isn't eye-rolling of me. But I guess thats cause I use it to feel good and feel bad when ever I need it hahaha ..

Hmm But I guess If im having a really bad day or something, Anime series don't really cute it for me. Ill usually find something else to do like force myself to play a video game (so i guess series from there). I really like American Comedy, so sometimes I might find one of those shows online when I'm doing bad actually. Though, If im having a bad day, the Mario series tends to help me out, cause its very relaxed and chill, yet still challenging to keep me going!

There's a manga called Doubutsu no Oisha-san that alaways ALWAYS manages to make me cheer up. It's funny, slice of lifey and it has a lot of cute animals! My weakness ;A;!!I've read it like three times already... not because I was feeling bad, but because I like it so much sdkjhfkjhsdf

i definitely do but it's not anything jap media related. the closet thing i come to always rewatching/replaying is probably daily lives of high school boys and ace attorney. anything humorous is always an easy way to cheer me up!

Let's see... back when I was reading Umineko it was nice to do it when it was raining and I was super tired. Something that can always cheer me up is definitely One Piece. It's just so funny and cute and even if it has sad moments, they always notice the silver lining. Besides that, playing Kingdom Hearts for a bit also puts me in a better mood and soothes my tired soul :D

Not so much these days, but One Piece seriously helped me through a mental breakdown I had when I was a teenager. I went into a bad depression after I lost my dad to an illness, so Chopper really inspired me.

I PLAY TCGS TO UNWIND!!!
besides that, it always help if I watch any slice of life show with cute girls in it or just a comedy show that can cheer me up. The one I'm watching this season is Denki-gai no Honya-san. Other than that, otomes can help me relax quite a bit, too. I'm currently attempting to finish all ending in tokimeki memorial girls side 3, though it means a lot of mindless replaying, but that can be relaxing in itself, just pressing the skip button for hours |D

Animanga-wise, anything cute/funny and slice-of-lifey like Azumanga Daioh or Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun. Stuff that's fun and you don't have to pay a ton of attention to in order to understand it, haha.

I also love casual phone games like Candy Crush or Bejeweled, I can zone out and play those forever lmao.
