Discussion 63

Welcome to another discussion round! It is a pretty straightforward game where I give you a question that you'll answer in a new comment, and I'll give you three random single cards and one special card. Since this is a discussion, don't be shy! Feel free to comment on other player's threads too~

"Throwback Wednesday! What was the very first anime you ever watched? Do you remember? How old where you (roughly)? Did you know it was anime? If you don't remember what is the first anime you do remember watching? "
(Example: To be perfectly honest, I don't remember the exact one I started watching. After school me and my brother would always watch a line-up on a cartoon channel: pokemon, beyblade, dragon ball z and yugioh -not necessarily in that order. I was about in the third or second grade?).

Have fun everybody! This round ends on January 28 2015.

I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER MINE, ACTUALLY it was Kiki's Delivery Service! When I was around 7 or 8 maybe, we used to have a blockbuster close to our house so one day when I was there, I thought, hey this is a movie about a little witch, that seems like a good watch. Although at the time I thought it was Chinese, herp '-'a

I probably have to go with Speed Racer. A real oldie I guess, lol. I don't really remember how old I was but around 8 or 9 I do remember getting into Sailor Moon A LOT. I loved that series and still love it. :)

I don't really remember what the show was there was Ahiru no Kwak, Nobody's Boy: Remi, Gera Gera Boos Monogatari, Calimero, Candy Candy, Arupusu no Shōjo Haiji, Mitsubachi Maaya no Bouken, meipurutaun monogatari, Nirusu no Fushigi na Tabi, Tomu Souyaa no Bouken and Spoon Obasan. I was about 4 tot 8 years old when I watched those series, I wasn't even aware that it was anime until years later.

At a point there was Beyblade, Yu-gi-Oh!, Gundam Wing, Sailormoon, Dragonball Z and Card Captor Sakura airing and that was the time I started to know what anime was. The first series I ever watched online was Love Hina

I can't say which was the first one, but I think it was either Dragon Ball (the first one, not Z) or Saint Seiya when I was around 7 or 8, though I don't remember ever watching a full episode of neither lol. My brother used to watch them and I was around so I had a general idea of both, more of Saint Seiya than Dragon Ball. I had no idea what was going on in the plot for neither (I just knew the names of most of the characters and how they looked), so the anime part elluded me completely shdfjhsd. I didn't know that they were anime until I was 13 or 14. I got really into Dragon Ball Z and Rurouni Kenshin some years later, when I was about 9 or 10. My mom used to tape the episodes for my brother and I dhfjkhsdf because we had swimming practice.

The first thing I remember is having a BUNCH of Sailor Moon VHS tapes and watching them constantly. Recently I saw one of the super sparkly tapes at a bookstore sale and was nostalgiabricked so hard. xD

The first anime I ever watched was Rurouni Kenshin on national tv and it was dubbed as Samurai X.

I was probably four or five years old so of course I didn't know it was anime and I didn't discover what that word meant until I was probably nine of ten oops~

Even though I didn't know, I watch a number of anime throughout my childhood like Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Captain Tsubasa, Saint Seiya and Card Captor Sakura (which I loooved with a passion), Inuyasha, Shaman King and so soo many more like these are just the ones I remember the most...

That national TV channel used to be run by such anime lovers really lmaoo~
