Discussion 64

Welcome to another discussion round! It is a pretty straightforward game where I give you a question that you'll answer in a new comment, and I'll give you three random single cards and one special card. Since this is a discussion, don't be shy! Feel free to comment on other player's threads too~

"Crossovers! How to you feel about crossovers in an anime/manga? Do you enjoy them? Dislike them? Is there any series you wish would do a crossover with another series? "
(Example: I'm not a big fan of crossovers actually, although I've only seen one. I don't know, I just don't like them. However, I'd love for some sports anime to do a crossover somehow -which is weird, I'm typically don't enjoy sports anime/manga. But I think it'd be cool if -for example - Rin (from Free) asked Kuroko (from Kuroko no Basuke) for directions to the swimming pool because they're at a huge sporting event. Something like that would be cool - not so much as crossover but rather more "guest appearance").

Have fun everybody! This round ends on February 5 2015. (You get an extra day to answer because I am late posting). CLOSED

Hmmmm Well To be honest, I haven't really seen many cross overs. Uh, a while back I read the FairyTale x GM Rave crossover chapter, and uh.. I seen YuGiOh BBoT (That counts right), besides that though, I don't know of many cross overs. But I never really had a problem with them, I think they are kinda cool, especially when you can mix two different universes very well!

I don't think I know of any canon crossovers... -- Oh wait no that's a lie, Assassination Classroom did a tiny one with some other Shounen Jump manga, haha. To be honest I don't really pay much attention to crossovers, especially if it's one canon I really love crossing over with one I've never heard of or don't particularly care for. I guess they can be fun? But I prefer the kind of crossovers that come from roleplaying as opposed to the same creators two series crossing over or something.

I haven't actually seen many animanga crossovers, but I enjoy crossovers when they happen.

CAN YOU IMAGINE ONE PIECE X FAIRY TAIL THOUGH.

also can we talk about the attack on titan/marvel crossover

oh man i'd love for kasamatsu from knb and iwaizumi from haikyuu to actually hang out in canon sometime it started as a joke about how they would get along since they both have a certain someone that annoys them literally all the time (kise, oikawa) but i ended up actually shipping them and now i sit here laughing at myself. if there ever was an actual crossover it would be incredible

I seen a few of them and I liked them. But I like fanart crossovers better. Some are just to hilarious.

I think, like chianna said, a lot of crossovers work better in fanart.

I think crossovers can work, except when they happen over and over again. (Comic book fans can understand what I'm talking about here.) If they're done for fun, don't disrupt the ongoing storylines, and done in good taste, it's all good.

I haven't seen many but the ones that I've seen I've liked a lot. My favorite is the Gintama/Sket Dance crossovers. Not only were the jokes in both hilarious, but you could clearly see the differences in the style of comedy and drawing. I also like Cross Epoch, which is a crossover between One Piece and Dragon Ball and Carnival Phantasm (a crossover with the people of type moon). Oh! I think crossover videogames are also cool, I love the idea of Jojo's All Star Battle, which I've never played but having all the Jojo people in the same place is all kinds of awesome, and the Namco x Capcom series. I learned about a lot of really old video games while playing part of it.

I guess the only canon crossovers I know are from CLAMP XP but I'm not too fond of them. I only like the idea of crossovers in the alternative universe sense (the characters from one series starring in the universe from another series). I actually enjoy reading fanfiction about it. I always imagine what would happen to my favorite characters if the were ninjas in Naruto's village or something like that.
