"What is your biggest pet peeve in fanfiction?"
(Example: Usually when there is character bashing of some sort or mary sue characters...and self inserts. Honestly I could write a huge book on what I really hate in fanfiction, but it's always worth searching for to find that one gem).

Well to the friend of a friend of a friend, who lives in another country and was formerly (and currently) known to me as Dan, I understand all your points! The references are also especially annoying when it comes to pop culture. OCs should always be background fuzz to fill a gap. I feel like they should never have a dominant role.
