"Is there any anime/manga/video game you've watched/read/played that is severely underrepresented? What anime/manga/videogame? If not, is there a series that has a bad reputation yet you find actually entertaining/good?"
(Example: Legend of the Dragoon I think is one of the best RPG games out there, but it is practically unknown to a lot of people. It was my first game, and I wish they'd remake it with better graphics for a newer model playstation)

UHHH LEGEND OF DRAGOON.
Now-a-days a lot of people don't know about it and gets over shadowed by Final Fantasy 7. I love it and still replay it when I can. I STILL find different things I've missed and new goodies everytime, too. I agree with having it remastered. It would look more BEAUTIFUL then it already it is.

Honestly I don't know anything else of anime or manga cuase as soon I read the topic I immediatly thought of Legend of Dragoon without ready the example. xD

I would probably go with Gundam SD. It was a very poor anime but I still enjoyed it...is that bad? xD I though the little sentient gundams were so cuuuuuuute.

I am actually so surprised by the fact that you (and Netbug) know this game! I spent years looking for it again, and finally found it again - ended up paying 6x the price I got it as a kid but sooo worth it for the exact reason you stated - you always find something new!! Can you imagine dart's transformation in a remastered version???

That's not bad at all, I haven't seen Gundam but I hear good things about it!

It's so bad it's AWFUL. But DANG I love it dearly with my entire being. It's so representative of the 90s: terrible animation, famous seiyuu playing prettyboy types (and dramatic prettyboys wangsting about their tragic pasts) actually pretty decent music, and terrible, terrible fashion choices.

I'd never recommend it to anyone (my dearly beloved mother, who finds upon herself the obligation of watching everything I'm into, could barely watch 4 minutes of it) but I love it SO MUCH. It also used to be pretty popular in late 90's-early 2000's, because of prettyboys (are you sensing a pattern? WK was the Free! of its decade). But it was so bad nobody had actually seen it. So most of fanfiction was based solely on how good the characters looked with each other.

And damn do they look good.

I've been obsessed with it ever since 99 AND I'LL NEVER STOP.

My best friend told me about that series! Haha gosh, she also did not recommend it to me. Honestly, people do not watch free for the plot (what plot?) so I can totally get why you'd like that series! DO NOT STOP. Live the dream~

I agree with lady_pain. Legend of Dragoon was a wonderful game but not largely know (Llojd <3). Also I loved Digital Devil Saga sooo much but it always lived in the shadow of the various persona....if only they merchandised it a little more I think both games would have more success. Anyway I'm lucky enough to share my love for them with a friend who played them too XD

Oh hey another lod fan! Cool!! I have heard of Digital Devil Saga, but I don't have the right system for that series (unless they had some for the ps3 now). I only see DDS at anime cons though, I don't think I've ever seen it at the game stores. So yes maybe it should be advertised more! And I am glad you have someone to share these with! /I do not.

There are millions of good horror games out there that I feel this way about :) though recently some have been getting more attention it seems. Rule of Rose was one that I used to think never got enough attnetion back in highschool, BUT SURE ENOUGH LIKE 7 YEARS LATER its the bees knees and every one knows about it now, so its like great where was this attention then? BUT BECAUSE ITS NOT NEW, there is never liek good fanart or anything fun added to it :' )

Horror is the only genre I do not touch (for the most part). I way way too chicken to watch/play/read anything horror. But I can understand where you are coming from! I think it's so cute you said bees knees

I like very popular stuff XD I guess things that are not so popular... I really like this manga called Ann Cassandra, but it was cancelled very quickly so there are only a few chapters. Other people that I've recommended it to don't see the appeal so maybe it's just me? T.T Besides that, I absolutely loved watching Saikano, many people say it's really bad, but all the angst was sooo satisfying!

Saikano, never heard of it. The summary seems a bit complicated but the art looks great! Also never heard of Ann Cassandra ^^;

Hmm if I had to pick only one, I would say Natsuyuki Rendezvous, both the manga and the anime. I do understand why people wouldn't want to watch it since it has a considerable amount of drama, it's mostly about romance and how to cope with the death of a loved one, but I just love it. Granted, I am biased because I do love josei manga and the author is one of my favorites, but it does have a solid story line, a realtively good animation and the cast is good. I wish it had received a little bit more attention, but the fact that it came out at all makes me happy haha.

Regarding video games, I would say Viewtiful Joe maybe. I mean, I'm the only person I know that has played it and loved it djfksdhf seriously it was so much fun (and hard!!). And oh bad rep animes! (koutetsu sangokushi my fave crappy anime fjkshdfjh!!) I really like Gundam ZZ even though it seems to be the most hated one among Gundam fans. I also love love love Macross 7 which isn't the most well liked, but I thought it was awesome and it had a great soundtrack (I just love Basara and Fire Bomber so much ;A;).

Actually it sounds great. I might add that to my list to watch, coping with a lost loved one is always hard and it would be an interesting story line for character development. Interesting...I shall add it to my list!

Out of all the games, no idea what Viewtiful Joe is. But I actually heard good things about Macross 7
